NY Fashion Week...Koi Suwannagate

I can't believe it's that time again! Is it just me, or does it seem like every year collections show earlier and earlier?? Anyhow, there's been a lot of anticipation and talk surrounding Fall/Winter '09 and how the recession will effect the designers and their collections. So far I've seen a distinctive drop in the number of looks being shown, and the number of pieces in each look: less layers, less accessories, less fabric...with the exception of Diane Von Furstenberg. Among the collections I've seen there are similarities in the mood and in the characteristics of the garments. As buyers and shoppers have limited budgets it's going to be even more crucial to make smart purchases that are both distinctive and versitile, harder than it sounds.

I love the whole outfit, especially the shoes.
