Milan Fashion Week...Marni

Well layered and rich with visual texture, Marni's fall collection is characterized much like an eccentric old lady (I mean that in a good way). Brocade jackets, patterned tights, floral bangles, metallics, knits and patchworks were all intermingled into a parade of well executed ensembles. With so much going on this could have been a mess, but instead square shapes, strong shoulders and boyish trousers pulled everything together. All of which was sharply finished with graphic platforms and white trimmed accessories...I could have done without the furry mittens, but that seems to be a running theme this season.
