The Kooples is one of those brands that makes me ask 'Why doesn't the US have something like this?' I love the neutral color pallet (black & gray), the collections are small, the individual pieces are smart and classic, most are moderately priced, and there is always a dash of current trend just for good measure. Then I remember that this isn't France, and the understated cool of this concise line would most likely be lost in the sea of over-embellished American chain stores....Ahh, what I wouldn't give to stock-up my closet with a few of those key basics that keep your daily look polished and chic. Damn.
